Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Data Philosophy

Nazorithm Toolbox ("we", "our", "the website") is operated as a free digital utility platform. We believe users should be able to transform, convert, and inspect files without surrendering personal data.

We do not operate a user database, user accounts, password authentication, or advertising tracking networks.

2. Client-Side vs. Server-Side File Processing

We distinguish clearly between browser-based processing and server-based processing:

  • Browser-Capable Tools: For operations such as text transformations, JSON formatting, Base64 conversion, and client-side image editing, files and inputs never leave your computer. All processing executes inside your browser's sandbox via Web APIs.
  • Server-Processed Tools: For heavy operations (such as multi-page PDF compression or complex document conversion) that utilize our secure backend pipeline, file inputs are received over HTTPS into an ephemeral staging area, converted, and delivered to you. Temporary files are scheduled for prompt deletion and are not stored permanently.

3. Local Browser Storage (localStorage)

We use standard browser localStorage solely to preserve your non-sensitive interface preferences across page refreshes, including:

  • Your chosen color theme (Dark Mode or Light Mode)
  • Whether you dismissed the top announcement banner
  • A list of recently viewed tool IDs for your convenience
  • Favorite tool bookmarks

This data is stored on your device only and is never automatically synchronized to our servers.
